Like the Community Outreach Walk, the Community Peace Walk will consist of walking through neighborhoods and interacting with the residents we encounter. This will take place at night time on the last Saturday evening of each month, the last Community Peace Walk was Saturday April 29th, 2017 and the next one is dated for May 27th, 2017 at Westmoreland and Conley St. at the Jackson Community Center basketball court parking lot (1002 Carter St. Orlando, FL 32805). The goal is to have a presence in the neighborhoods at night in a form of a neighborhood watch. There is no obligation to interact with anyone or any crime, our goal is just to show the neighborhoods that we are present at day and night time. We will revisit the same area that we implement the Community Outreach walk at. This way we can be in an area that we have already been introduced to. We even set up a liaison that will be able to assist the area with needs and concerns after we leave.
