LYVBH EVENTS

Let Your Voice Be Heard, Inc. specializes in various outreach events outside of our monthly meetings. We have commenced weekly outreach events such as the youth after school outreach, monthly events such as our community peace walks, rallies, marches, community fun days, food drives, back to school drives, feeding the homeless events, political forums, election drives and campaigns and many more outreach events. YOUTH OUTREACH

In an effort to guide the future generations, we have implemented the youth after school outreach where we've been giving out chips and drinks and information on how to get into after school and mentoring programs to the youth when they get out of Evans and Jones High School. This has been widely received by the youth and parents, and has led to several youth signing up for programs and events. We touch about 200-300 kids at each location, each time! This is powered solely by the community sponsorship and volunteering!

COMMUNITY OUTREACH WALKS

Community outreach is an opportunity for us to engage and interact with the residents of Central Florida. We will be walking through the shopping centers with newsletters, and conducting surveys for the community that ask questions about “do you need extra income, do you have life insurance, do you have food assistance, etc.” in hopes of finding solutions for the residents. We will continuously do this in different neighborhoods and we encourage people to interact as much as they can with whomever they run into. We are stronger together and we want to make sure we spread the best tools we can. We want to show a consistent and visible presence in neighborhoods, and this is just one of the ways we will accomplish this.

WORKSHOPS

Our workshops are geared for the youth and the community. They will vary from mentoring, stop the violence, community forum-based, professional (grant-writing, licensing, etc), realty, knowledge and spiritual, political based, legal based ("know your rights, etc) and more.
